2011 GZU New Year’s Party

On the evening of Dec. 17, 2010, Office of International Relations (OIR) and College of International Education organized and held the 2011 GZU New Year’s Party for foreign teachers, experts and international students who were working and studying at GZU. Present were President ChenShuping, Mr. WangYinghua, Director of OIR, Ms. ZhangChengxia, vice Director of OIR, officials from relevant colleges, Committee of Communist Youth League, Students’ Affairs Department, College of Graduate, Research & Development Center for Fine Chemical Engineering and Southwest Minority Research Center, and all of the foreign experts, teachers and international students

The party started with Mr. ChenShuping’sgreetings to the foreign guests and a warm speech, in which he mentioned that there have seen a great increase in the number and quality of the international students at GZU. He took the chance to extend his thanks to the foreign experts and teachers working at GZU and his best wishes for a happy 2011 for all of the teachers and students.

Wilkins-PepitonRebakah, a volunteer teacher from Peace Corp, and LiuJiali, a student from Finland , made a speech respectively, showing their pleasant experiences of teaching and learning at GZU.

Mr. ChenShupingproposed a toast to all present. The international students showed wonderful performances. The Vietnamese students’ robe dance, the Lao students’ singing and playing the guitar with both hands, the songs by the German and Thai students, attracted the audience’s attention. The party was crowned by theLangPrabangdance by the Lao students.
